Regenerative value chains

Regenerative value chains are those where producers, land stewards, buyers, and investors work together to actively deliver products and services that are good for people, restore nature and generate long-term economic returns for all stakeholders.

Regenerative value chains thus encompass the production of nature-based products and services in a way that respects regenerative principles both at an ecological, social and economic level. Additionally in some cases, payments for ecosystem services can be a complement.

Typically value chains are structured and lead by operators.
